Worldly Wedding Gowns

We’re so excited about today’s post, we can hardly contain ourselves. While perusing the net, we came across two amazing wedding gown designers, Therez Fleetwood and Adele Wechsler. Their gowns struck a cord with us because the dresses are original and stunning. Pay attention ladies, they are not for the faint of heart. Every woman cannot pull off these dresses. The style and sheer beauty of these gowns must be complimented with a bride equally as gorgeous and strong. Timid, unoriginal brides need not apply.

Therez Fleetwood is well known for her bridal creations. Based on the East Coast, Therez creates bridal gowns that allow brides to make a personal statement on their wedding day. We love her because she breaks the traditional wedding gown mold. Inspired by color, shape and texture, Therez creates a unique collection of gowns that feature gorgeous fabrics, exquisite details and creative design patterns made from beads, trinkets, embroidery, shells and lace.

South African designer, Adele Wechsler’s Hello Africa collection was inspired by her need to add a “humanitarian component” to her work. Adele outsources the beading to rural African women. Each gown is named in the Zulu, Swahili or Xhosa language. Some of the materials in the Hello Africa collection include cowrie shells, freshwater and seed pearls, wood, and Swarovski crystals. Adele Wechsler ensures the beaders are earning Fair Trade rates.
